All Things Atomic and Perceived

Welcome to Atomic Perception, my little corner of cyberspace. Randy Sanders invites you to browse the images, videos and audio in the galleries.

This site is dedicated to providing audio, video and 3D solutions to the global community.

Demo Reel

Attack Run: 15.3.4Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

Attack Run is a scene that was entirely generated using the attack run script that I wrote. A proxy generator by default, you can pick geometry for ships, shots, explosions, debris. Camera shake is generated and synchronized to impact points.

Asteroid Field: 9Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

The Asteroid Field was generated by the asteroid belt script that I wrote, then I added the little ship that takes a "tour" of the asteroid field.

Planet Generator: 11.7Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

These planets were entirely generated using the planet generator script that I wrote. The script roll out allows you to pick maps, it creates multiple animated cloud layers, animated atmospheric glow, rotates the planet for you and generates the starfield backdrop. The script supports the saving of all parameters so you can build up a library of planets.

Rik Arrives: 1.4Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

A fun little short. A comet approaches, smashes into the ground sending debris flying everywhere, then Rik pops up glowing.

The Hill: 2.4Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

The Hill represents an entire video work flow case study. I shot the footage, captured it using Premiere, tracked it using Boujou, then created the internal geometry and dynamic simulation in Maya.

The Boat: 2.4Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

I created The Boat scene using the Seascape demo. I grabbed the boat from my model library and added the search light. I animated and textured the entire scene.

The Broom: 1.2Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

The Broom is a reworked scene from My Very First Halloween which documents a cute little kitty's journey through his first halloween. The cloud environment was created via a custom script that I wrote. I purchased the Toonable kitty on-line and set up the initial pose in Poser. I exported it from poser and imported it into 3DSMax were the final render occured.

The Cathedral: 1.4Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

The Cathedral is a scene that was entirely generated using the cathedral generator script that I wrote. The only thing I added to the scene was the camera work. All other elements, including lights, modeling, environment, distressing, debris and the multi-sub object materials were generated by the script.

Eye Candy: 3.34Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

Eye Candy is a short video that features Mental Ray work, greeble work and particles obscuring volumetric lighting. All put together using After Effects.

Demo Reel Intro: 2.2Mb 352x240 MPEG-1

Demo Reel Intro features a particle biped that was created using a script I wrote. The script creates a biped in 3DSMax then attaches a particle system to most of the bones. An interactive link between the biped and the script is established where you can fine tune the way the particles are emitted.
