(official bio:)
I'm a full-time freelance CG artist with over 10 years industry experience. Originally starting out as a programmer, I discovered several open source 3D programs via dial-up bulletin boards (POV-Ray, DKB-Trace, RTag, Moray) and took to disecting this open source code and producing scenes using command lines and a series of batch files.
My early dabbling produced simple fluid simulations that landed me a job at a local company producing multimedia for CBT applications which enabled me to focus on all aspects of video and 3D production, before joining companies aimed more at film, TV and DVD production.
Located in central Ohio, I've returned to my freelancing roots, something I did throughout my early employment. Previous positions as Lead Programmer and Interactive Developer enables me to provide sound advice with regards to tips and techniques when working with 3DS Max, and After Effects and Web or GUI based projects. This expertise can be found in the images, songs and code I produce as well as the projects I have worked on.
Freelancing now gives me the opportunity to produce work for a wider range of clients and therefore a broader range of work from title motion graphics to Special FX, historical reconstructions to concept print work, commercials to in-house training, book tutorials to architectural visualisation.
Please feel free to get in touch should you wish me to aid a project, provide 3D media in any shape or form, write bespoke tutorials for any medium, create custom training solutions for you and your company, requesting a quotation on a forthcoming job or for general information on services provided!

01/17/07 Meshfoot has been up and running for a year. I have had hundreds of downloads and my reports indicate that 44% of the users who install Meshfoot use it. Meshfoot is a featured plug-in on CG India, Japanese/Korean sites (that I can not read), Highend 3D, Scriptspot and more. The user base is truly international with licenses checking in from the Netherlands, China, Japan, Austraila, Brazil, Canada, France, Cyber City, Africa, India, United Kingdom and the US.
01/17/06 Began work on a 3DS Max plugin that treats a .3DS mesh sequence as if it were video footage within 3DS Max itself, allowing timestretch, cloning and out-of-range features that tradtionaly fall in the realm of 2D footage. This highly flexible plugin creates a seamless bridge between Poser and 3DS Max with no re-animating, re-boning, or re-skinning required. For a product description click here.

10/01/04 I have written another tutorial, this one details how to build the Attack Run MaxScript. I also released the source code for the Attack Run MaxScript. You can find the turorial here and the MaxScript is available in the downloads section.
07/07/04 I have added a Motion Graphics section to my gallery. Here you can check out my recent creative endeavors geared toward broadcast design.
05/17/04 My first integration of video footage with 3D elements, The Hill can be viewed on the Demo Reel Shorts page. This short video is a case study in the technique. I shot the video using a consumer grade camcorder, captured the video using a consumer grade capture port via Premiere. After weeks of trying to get something out of Maya Live a friend offered up Boujou and wow, it tracked automatically while we had coffee. We exported the camera data from Boujou and I brought it into Maya. From there I created the ground plane to capture the shadows and to act as a passive rigid body for the dynamics simulation.
04/27/04 My audio project has submitted 18 songs for copyright under the title Let It Stand. This collection of songs spans four years of work. These songs were produced during our weekly session on Monday nights.
04/09/04 I've finally got my Attack Run video out the door. I am actively applying for work outside of central Ohio. This video features scenes generated using the Attack Run MaxScript that I created. This MaxScript will generate an air assault on a ground based target zone using picked geometry.
03/30/04I have been accepted in to the Oddessy Group as a tools maker and FX animator. I have been busy scripting away and already have a fairly roboust outerspace planet generator script, complete with asteroid/rubble field belt generator. working on a point-to-point shot manager for combat scenes as well.
